Sanne Van Delft

(1972)

“We always used to watch the Marx Brothers’ movies, which I thought were fantastic. But what I remember most is that I was always waiting for the next song, like one from Harpo.”
Sanne is a cautious, cycling, wood-chopping, skating bassist, who is also very skilled with metal and wood. He studied double bass at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and toured the United States, Scotland, Switzerland, Spain, Bosnia, South Africa, Alaska, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Turkey, Argentina, Ireland, the Czech Republic, and China. Since the early nineties, he has been active in a wide variety of groups and projects in both classical and light and improvised music, such as the street orchestra Ricciotti Ensemble and tango band Sexteto Canyengue, Toneelgroep Oostpool, chamber orchestra I Fiamminghi, Dulce Pontes, and Jeroen Zijlstra.
